being the poor pc gamer i am.. i bought a pc bundle that has a core2quad q9450, 8gb ram, and gtx 560 for about $75.. my problem was i wanted to overclock my pc but i found out later that the board that my pc has is an oem board and when i go to the bios, there aren't any options for overclocking.. i can just monitor them.. its running a g43 chipset so i think trying to load a diff bios on it wouldn't work at all... i was looking up ways to overclock without resorting to buying a new mobo, until i found out bsel mods. my question is, does it really work? and does it pose any threats to my cpu and/or motherboard? any and all opinions are welcome :)

it works, but it won't in your case. it makes the mobo unable to read the FSB rated speed of the CPU and running it at default 1333MHz buut your CPU's already is 1333 so it won't change anything.

(edit) if you had a q6600 then you could have made it act like your cpu

  • CPU
    Ryzen R6 5700X
  • Motherboard
    MSI B350M mortar arctic
  • RAM
    32GB Corsair RGB 3600MT/s CAS18
  • GPU
    Zotac RTX 3070 OC
