M.2 or SSD

Debating between 

Samsung 960 EVO Series NVMe M.2

and 

Samsung 850 EVO-Series.

 

Both 500gb

 

 

Any suggestions ?

For just that you wouldn't notice the difference between the two. Assuming there's a price difference I would choose 850 evo.

I think by using different interface the m.2 may be faster than the ordinary sata ssd.

 

if you want clean space get the m.2, if you have drive bays and do not mind using one of them go for sata ssd (normal 2.5")

The 960 Evo is much faster (theoretically) thanks to NVMe, but not a noticeable speed bump IRL

Get 850 Evo , you won't see the difference and it's cheaper also won't get your pcie lanes
