GTX 1080 HELP!!!

Just bought a 1080 by palit and every now and  again it shuts down the video to my TV 

I am running a Core i5 4440 with 8gb ram DDR3 and a gigabyte   B85M-DS3H-A

I know it isn't my TV because it doesn't shut down video on other systems plugged into it 

i have updated all of the drivers for the motherboard and GPU and keeps on doing it 

do I need to upgrade? 

Or do i need to send the GPU back?

Plug your monitor into the mother board and see if it happens. If it doesn't then send the GPU back as it means it is a GPU issue

Could also be a PSU issue.

the thing is though it happens under load    so would that be the power supply?

because the system has a 500W EVGA supernova

He's likely refering to the 550w Supernova

That in itself is referencing several PSUs from the NEX, G1, G2, G3, GQ, etc. lineups

To say it doesnt exist while offering no help on the subject is stupid and wrong. It does exist and even the NEX series isnt something that would cause these issues.

So what? Even a EVGA G2/G3, a Tier 1 PSU, can cause these problems if defective. 

 

And I don't see you offering any help, so...
