At work we have a system where you plug in  one USB 3.0 cable into a ThinkPad Pro "Brick" (not sure what the actual product is called). Apart from being a USB hub it also has support for two monitors for a three monitor setup.

We use laptops as our main screens and have the two extra monitors above it in this formation, both physically and in the setup on windows:

Monitor 1 is the laptop (1600 by 900) and monitor 3 and 2 are the extras (1920 by 1200).

However it is fairly annoying to reach monitor 2 as you have to go up to monitor 3 and then left to monitor 2.

Is it possible to trick windows into thinking that monitor 2 is larger and is in contact to both monitor 1 and 3 at the same time, sort of like this:

In this case the resolution are the same, but moving the mouse between each screen is a lot more fluid.

Thank you.

I think you can drag the monitors around in Windows' display settings (IIRC, not on Windows atm. I can check when I get home) so you could align it to cover 50/50 of both screens. It's not possible otherwise as far as I know. Monitor 2 would need to have a vertical resolution that spans both monitor 1 and 3 (so Nx2100) to have all the corners line up.

If there is a way I'd love to know as well though :D
