1440p 90-144hz Monitor advice needed

Hello friends,

Looking to pick up and new monitor, I'm finally going to make the jump and leave 1080p in the past and go for a 1440p display.

I'm looking at 16:9 but would consider ultra wide if the £ allows for it. My budget is around £200 + or - and that's about $260.

Want to be in the range of 27" if 16:19.

Would really appreciate your advice or suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

build it beaurtiful

It's hard to even find a 1440p with that budget, let alone high refresh rate

with that budget you could probably only get a 1080p then...

1440p monitors easily span around 450aud onwards+ brand new... due to it being not so mainstream unliek its 1080p counterparts. which means higher costs to manufacture a niche lineup for "some" users.

then add in high frame rates, and you're looking at 800aud+ minimum...

for reference pricing to help you restructure your budget...

1) asus pg279q 144hz [165hz oc], 27", 1440p, ips, gsync 1139~1189aud [probably the most exp 27" 1440p i seen but its asus so...]

2) viewsonic xg2703-gs 144hz [165hz oc], 27", 1440p, ips, gsync 899aud.

3) asus mg279q 144hz, 27", freesync, NO IPS, 799aud...

1usd : 1.36aud. prices here may be slightly higher in comparison to us counterparts but thats just aussie :(
