LTT in 60 FPS

Here's the one that no one noticed was 60fps.

That doesn't even look 60fps.

You can definitely tell if it's ACTUALLY 60fps:

On one of the CES WAN shows linus said that as the community was asking for 60fps videos he just exported a 30 fps vid as 60fps and the comments section of that video was full of 60fps praise comments.

That says a lot, doesn't it?

People just want to see that 60fps option in bottom right corner.

The same people who can't tell the difference between a 30fps video and a 60fps video, or even a 30fps exported as 60fps.

It's just the classical "I want the best because I think it's the best, even though I don't need or can tell what the best option is. But I want it."

It all comes down to what standard your country has (PAL or NTSC), PAL runs at 25 FPS and NTSC runs at 29.97 FPS.

Nah, none of the answers makes any sense, I don't think you'll find a successful answer unless you ask them directly. It must be something more complicated than just "nobody notices". Also I can't believe there's people saying that "it doesn't matter because it's video" in a forum like LinusTechTips. I mean... come on guys... I thought everyone was already over that... FPS matters for everything up to around 250hz, is that simple... You could say "I don't care about it" and that would be perfect, you don't need to say "there's no point on that" and look like the classic console peasant. I'm dissapointed.

50hz or 59.94hz actually, in what is better described as 'Half Fields Per Second' rather than Frames Per Second. :P  However from there we get into the intricacies of interlaced video.

They explained themselves on some WAN show or the other. It was mainly down to the following

1. viewers not caring enough

2. them not caring enough

3. not being worth the space needed (over double the storage requirements is a HUGE increase in cost)

Oh, I didn't see your comment. Well, that makes sense, as most of the time, the most boring and less dramatic answer is the correct one.
