Computer in an endless reboot/black screen

Hey there first time poster and well..user of this site and not really good at understanding computer stuff but...ever since yesterday when i tried loading into a game my computer freaks out and restarts itself which lead into an endless set of reboots until i did a registry edit to stop autoreboots. Now it just sits there on a black screen unless i start it up in safe mode.

Another thing is when it reboots i see these weird  green lines across my screen

I'm...not sure if those images will help and i've tried to do what i can to get info to help but i'm just not sure what i'm doing.

*forgot to mention that i am using windows 7.
