I know that ryzen loves fast memory, but 2 weeks ago when i was shoping for my build,  there was not option for 2400+ ram, and they were very expensive.

So i got HyperX 8GB Fury DDR4 2400MHz CL15 KIT HX424C15FBK2/8, with decent heatsinks, they are running 2x4gb on 2400mhz, can i overclock them a bit to make difference?

I have b350 mobo with 1500x cpu.

Yeah you could try doing it. It's highly possible you could squeeze a bit more outta them.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

try just bumping the speed to the next step up, if it crashes or doenst boot, go to the timings and add one to the first 3 timings, it should boot if not add one more.

then when it boots, find a memory stress tester, if it passes you can then go back and reduce the timings one by one,

my case:

i had 2 sticks of 1600mhz cl9, ddr3

i eventually got it booting at 2400mhz, with 13 13 13 25 timings but then i tried to reduce then a bit

but i was only able to reduce the first one, and only by one so i ended up with 12 13 13 25, and got a significant perf boost ( in memory benchmarks)

what you are trying to achieve isnt exactly the fastest frequency, its the best perf.

for example i can get the sticks booting 2600, but because the timings get a bit too loose the perf is worse.

so for example if you can boot at both 2400 and 2600 try get the best timings out of each of them then use something like maxxmem to see what has the better perf
