Re seating My Card

Go to solution Solved by Max_Settings,

No, you only have to use DDU if you are changing to a different card. Not if you are taking out your card and putting it back in.

I'm going to change the thermal paste on my GPU. Do I need to use DDU and uninstall the drivers before taking my card out of the machine and then putting it back in or will it be fine just taking it out then putting it back in on the same driver?

My GPU is running a bit hotter than normal and I also need to do just general maintenance on my pc I'm just unsure if I need to uninstall the drivers or not for the card. Thank you for the help.
