So im getting a new gaming laptop (yes, i know you get more for the money in a pc, but i move it around a lot so a laptop is more handy)

Currently there are two that im lookng at but i cant really decide which is better (but as you can see im kinda on a budget):

The only things that are different between them, otherwise the same specs. The price difference is like 15$.

(Acer Aspire VX5-591G)

GTX 1050 Ti 4GB

1TB HDD (5400rpm)

(ASUS FX553VD DM209T)

GTX 1050 2GB

128GB SDD, 1TB HDD (7200rpm)

If you have other suggestions than the ones i found, you're welcome to share but options are kinda limited where i live (at least compared to the US)

Welcome to the forums! And what games do you play? If you mainly play CS:GO and Overwatch and such, the 1050 Ti one should be good (don't get the 1050 if you can help it), if you play more intensive games, you may want a 1060 or 1070 laptop. What's your budget?

I've mostly been playing CS GO, because thats really the only game that my current potato-laptop can run. But i was hopping now that im getting a better graphics card i could play more demanding games (fallout 4, battlefield 1 ect.). Im not the type who needs 60fps+ on ultra.. And my budget is around 1000$ but here in denmark where i live there is a lot of taxes on everything (on a 1000$ pc around 150-200$ of it is taxes)

Ah. A 1050 Ti should be fine, the desktop counterpart can run AAA games on 1080p/Medium-high at 50-60fps. So it should be playable if you tweak settings, and since laptop screens are generally smaller than desktop monitors, you won't notice the drop in quality as much. Defo don't get the 1050 though, as it'll really struggle to give you a decent experience in Battlefield and such.

Yea first person shooters become unplaybale if the fps drops to much. And it seems like a good deal as all other laptops i could find at that price has 1050 or 950m/960m. Thanks for the help :)

First, some VX5 models uses IPS panel while the FX553D uses TN panel. IPS provide more vivid colours and even though IPS panels usually have slower response times, you won't notice the difference.

Second, SSD is easy to be upgraded so you can add it later (don't worry about Windows OS transfer, laptops need to be clean installed Windows before using IMO)

I'll go for the Acer VX5.

What about other models like Dell 7567 and Lenovo Legion Y520? What are their prices for their specs?

Dell - 1.300$

Lenovo - I found one for like 1070$ but it only has GTX 1050, i also found one with GTX 1050 Ti but it costs 1.180$

And yeah i guess i can always add an SSD if i want

They both cost around 1.000$ (the Asus like 15$ more than the Acer) but judging by the previous replies it seems that the Acer has been kinda ruled out.

But if you know a gaming laptop for around 1000$ you're welcome to suggest it. I'll take a look at it if its available where i live

Just go for Acer VX15.
