my microphone Not Working

I tried everything for about 4 weeks even with help from Microsoft I could fix this.

I have tried Skype, Discord, and Obs since I started streaming but nothing

my friends from Skype and Discord and they couldn't hear me. In orbs I when I record it didn't record my microphone and when I streamed I and tried to talk nothing my viewers couldn't hear me so I had to stream with no microphone I bought a usb audio card adapter hoping it fixes it but in come in like 2 weeks.

I am was on windows 10 hoping downgrading would fix it now I am in 8.1 and nothing works

please help I am using a headset with 2 jacks and

also have earphone with a microphone

Is the microphone set as the default device (and communication device)?  Is it your headset microphone you are using or an individual microphone?
