So I am attempting to build a new PC, I have done some research and came up with the parts I think I should use. My goal is to build a good gaming/work pc that I can update more in the future if I desire. I am wondering if there is something I am over looking or something I am missing.

maybe get a beefier PSU if you are figuring you want to overclock or add another gpu or put inn an i7, i have a 7700k and a factory oc 1080ti, the reccomended psu specs for my system is around 550 watts.. a 750watt should be good, and with such an enthusiast build i would get a minimum 80plus gold certified psu or higher.

you might be able to run it with that psu, but you will be almost maxing it under load, making it run hot, making noise etc :P

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

I look into the Ryzen 5, when I originally compared the specs the i5 came up with higher ratings.

Where is the bottle neck?

There isnt a budget per say, I am trying to keep it under $2000 with the ability to add in parts later to make it better.

I like that list, I think the main differences is the cpu and the memory. I will look into those parts.

Have you ever tried running steam off a hot swap?

More cores, more threads, i5 has slightly higher IPC and higher clock, so i5 will be slightly better in gaming (5-10fps) while Ryzen is better in everything else

Thank you I will get the Ryzen. Didnt know it would be better at non-gaming tasks and only 10 fps lower for gaming.

Sorry for quoting, didnt know how.
