Usb type c ports

I can't seem to figure out exactly what standard of USB my USB type c port on my computer is. The reason I would like to know is so I can make a decision on what kind of dingle to get or if possible get a cable to go from USB c to USB b for a separate hub (on a monitor for example)

For those wondering the port is also capable of a display port signal though I don't know if it can carry both at the same time

You haven't given us much to go off of. How are we supposed to help you.

Is it a desktop?
If so, what motherboard?
Is it a laptop?
If so, what model?

Sorry hahah it's a dell inspiron 13 2-in-1  7000 series, I've gone to the product page and done several separate Google search "sessions" trying to get answers but I'm stumped all the product page gives me is (usb type c). Which just leaves me wondering

What exactly do you mean by "type of USB C"? Do you mean 2.0/3.0/3.1?
