Except everything else is much worse for PC gaming. Refresh rate, response time, etc etc. Just get a monitor

I thought you already have TV and you want to use it, if that happens it is ok to use the TV first then if you want to be independent buy a monitor

I think 1080p is already nice anyways what video card are you using?

I got a M55-E0 55" 4k UHD tv with HDR it supports 4k @60hz and full RGB colors also chroma 4.4.4, 4.2.2, 4.2.0 right now with my two GTX 960 4GB in sli I can run world of warships at high settings at 50FPS at 4K@60hz with full RGB, got the TV for 200$ so was a great buy. And the TV is a 2017 model, now I just need to decide if I want two GTX 1080ti's in SLI almost all of my games support SLI With HDR 8k res the n world of warships.
