use the channels on the back of the motherboard using 3.5mm to RCA cables and just plug them into the "Multi Ch In" on the back.

The outputs on the back of the motherboard should be listed in playback devices, so 3.5mm stereo to dual RCA for main left and right, Black is sub I think, pink and blue are inputs and I think gray is center with Orange being stereo surround? Not entirely sure.

Fine you want the PSU tier list? Have the PSU tier list: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1116640-psu-tier-list-40-rev-103/

I went the clever route myself, I installed Unlocked drivers for the onboard RealTek chip which unlocked the chip's Dolby Digital Live function, allowing real time 5.1 DD AC-3 transcoding for the output.  So my HTPC is hooked directly to a soundbar over TOSLINK and and now does 5.1 instead of 2.0

Cool that's a good way but I'm okay with this I will get new equipment later anyway.

It's true surround sound it's just analog instead of digital but it's okay sounds way better than 2.0

  • 1 month later...

Most of the newer av recievers don't even have analog multichannel anymore. Only optical and hdmi and maybe 1 analog

Everything's all good with that receiver but if I get a new one I'll probably use HDMI
