Advice on upgrading

I'm thinking about upgrading my GPU to a GTX 1080ti. I have a GTX 1070. Mostly cause I've been playing a lot of battlegrounds and my FPS isn't great. It's decent enough to play on but it's like 45-75 usually with some dips into the 30s. I also have a 4790k and was wondering if that is starting to bottleneck me a little since I heard battlegrounds is maybe CPU dependent.

So you want a new system or new Graphics Card?

-Frequencies DON'T represent everything and in many cases that is true (referring to Individual CPU Clocks).

Don't upgrade your GPU, you will regret it once they push more updates to optimize the performance. I've seen people playing it with 1080s and it still dips into the 20s randomly while playing. With my RX 480 I average 55-75 FPS but sometimes it drops down to below 10 FPS for no reason while I'm holding still.
