New 1080TI no video output!

lior1111

Hey people , LTT has only managed to help me before and i really need your best of the best right now..

Ive bought a new 1080TI , almost an entire new computer though.. so i bnasically built everything from scratch again , computer turned on , had an issue with the ssd , installed windows 10 , things work!

Starting to install stuff like mobo drivers and geforce experience.. managed to install everything , even the windows updates , pumped the hertz of the monitor to 144hz , started downloading overwatch just to check whats happening , and then suddenly , from nowhere - black screen , alot of "Error" ( dont know if error , but the windows sound of "error pop up") sound started a loop , and i have no idea what to do and so i clicked reset.

turned on the pc again , no video output , plugged the dvi into the motherboard - back into windows. figured out theres an issue with gpu , the only issue is that i managed to see 144hz , the gpu is still getting power , fans are always spinning after pressing the power button(and instantly stop)  , and the LEDs are always on.

its just that i dont get any sort of video output from the gpu , and the monitor says no signal , but he detects that theres a cable plugged in.

So i have no idea whats the problem cause ive never encountered it.

Please help me im kinda hopeless right now.. and a bit sad actually :P

Thank you.

Hey,

I purchased a 980Ti a while ago and it just turned out to be faulty. Did it come wrapped with all of the IO covers as if it didn't there is a chance someone has already sent it back because it was faulty.

i dont think it is faulty , the thing is it was working , and while i was doing updates around the PC , then it crashed and black screen and the no signal stuff...

unless you were messing with the card, try sending it in under warranty.

How is that possible x(, new 1080ti that worked and suddenly crashed..Leds are working aswell.. I do not understand.. Maybe i should get two separate power cords from the psu instead of one that splits into all the connectors? Like most amd gpus..

Defo try two separate cords. A 1080 Ti will need a lot of power.
