The only good headphones for the STX are the Sennheiser HD 600 and 650.

In other words, don't get an STX.

could you please elaborate? as i am genuinely interested in why you would pair exactly those with it but nothing else, i can kinda guess it, but would still like to hear your actual opinion, unless you are just joking around to prove a point ofcourse :P.

was joking, but only in the sense that there are a few more headphones the STX is compatible with. Everything above the orange line: https://linustechtips.com/main/uploads/monthly_08_2013/msg-7799-0-86408400-1377931726.png

This is pretty much the same for all sound products from ASUS and Creative, and even worse on some Creative soundcards.

That's because the DT 770, 880, and 990 are all the same thing minus the housing.

They're probably in there amidst the massive black smudge of text. ;)

there's a few on there that are only high because their noise cancelling circuitry has an amp, and amps are built with a high input impedance.

The beats, and the audio-technica's, and I'd assume bose but they don't list their specs anywhere.

Will work for electronic components and parts

Because they are ashamed of those specs :D

THey are all so expensive, nothing there worth buying below 300

oh they are worth buying, just not the best match with a sound card.
