CPU stuck to motherboard and computer won't boot, ideas?

So obviously I suck at building computers and I think I bent some pins during the installation of my ryzen 5 and now the computer won't boot. I would return it and get a new one, but the CPU is completely stuck to the motherboard. How can I get it off without damaging my motherboard?

remove the stick that's near to the cpu and lift it up moving it a little bit to the right

I added a photo to the original post, I've tried fiddling with the retention arm and it doesn't do anything

Lift up the little stick you pushed down to install the CPU, and then lift the CPU out.

Sounds like you ended up with two or more pins in the same hole if they were bent.

 

Does the socket move when you adjust the arm? It should a tiny bit.

 

When all else fails, you can use upward force to remove the CPU.  I've accidently ripped a few from the ZIF socket when they were stuck to the bottom of a cpu cooler. Didn't harm the systems I did it do, but you have to NOT twist the CPU in doing so.

As others have said the socket is zero insertion force, people have even had Ryzen CPUs come out with the CPU cooler before.

 

You could try just taking the CPU out.

you can try to carefully slide 2 plastic cards ( like a bank card or something) underneath the green pcb on either side and try to pull it out.
