If you need to ask these questions you probably shouldn't be hosting other peoples websites.

Don't even try. If you need to host multiple sites for people, there are specific web hosts for that already. Web hosting space is too crowded for anyone new.

if its just for a presentation and it seems like this stuff was not part of what you have been taught in this class i would just take any not too old computer, create a vm with linux, a webserver and some other stuff like FTP installed.

 

once this vm is ready to roll you back it up so you can create more vm´s whenever needed and just drop your backup in it and its ready to roll.
