Windows 10 cant identify ethernet network

I just built my first pc. i booted it up and everything was fine until i tried to connect to the internet. I plugged in my ethernet cable and my computer tried identifying the network but failed every time i tried. In device manager the only thing under network adapters is Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. I have tried uninstalling and restarting windows but it doesnt help. Any help would be appretiated

What is your motherboard? You may need to manually install network drivers.

It's a msi z270-a pro

Im dumb, i needed to install the drivers off the disk
