Need a processor for live streaming

I would love to stream in 60fps 720p but my processor which is a i7 6700 doesn't hold up that good. I am planning on getting a new processor but I know that there are new intel ones coming out. please try to give me the best price to performance I'm not rich

With Skylake X the prices start at $1000, so I don't know if you are up for that. The thing you need is more cores. If you are going to be upgrading a Ryzen 1700x and compatible MB would be good, might be to expensive though.

You want a r7 1700 with a b350 motherboard. It's an 8 core cpu and comes with a cpu cooler which should save you another 30 Bucks. The r7 1700 costs 315 and the motherboard cost like 80 bucks and that all you would need.

Do what I did - sell the 6700 + mobo and nab a r7 1700 + mobo.  It streams like a beauty, has an awesome stock cooler and can OC on any b350 or x370 mobo.
