This is my current PC build. I'm going to use this almost entirely for gaming. My budget is $1500. Are there any places I cut down on money so I can possibly buy a better keyboard and mouse or another monitor? Also, is there any way to check if the computer parts are compatible in size, or does pcpartpicker already show size compatibility? Plz help.

You don't need a $200 motherboard so you can save money there easily.

A 120mm AIO isn't really worth it either, a decent air cooler will perform around the same.

Yes it's compatible, PCP shows any issues if they aren't compatible parts.

If you must go with an aio, get a 240mm. otherwise go with some noctua or anything like that.

200 dollar motherboard is a bit much.

1080 is also a bit overkill, unless you want to game at 4k or something.

You could also go to a 1600 and save $150, go to a 1070 and save $100, or both (to have more money to put towards monitor an peripherals).

What the flip is the PSU?! I better go with SeaSonic G 550W

G series is also more expensive though.

CXM is a good psu. It's tier 3 on the tier list and would be tier 2 if it wasn't for the sleeve bearing fan.

You can absolutely 100% get a better a PSU for $80. I'm almost certain the EVGA 650W GQ is $80. That Corsair CXM unit is absolute trash. The new grey label CXM units are alright, definitely better than the old green label units(which again, are absolute trash).

OP - You'll need to tell us what monitor(s) you're actually using with this system?

Also what games will you be playing, and will you be using the system for anything other than gaming?

The CXM series is good enough but he doesn't need 750W for this build.

I 'twas kinda lazy and didn't feel like changing it out :P

I also didn't notice the MIR tho.

If you compare a CXM grey sticker into and a GQ I would grade them about the same on electrical performance, the only reason I would give it to the GQ is because of the sleeve bearing fan on the CXM.

Yes the GQ is better. No it's not by that much.

Yes the GQ is better. No it's not by that much.

GQ is an entire tier above the new CXM units, on the thread here. Or;

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=486

The exact models we're comparing. Ignore value since they're the same price. That's a score of 29/30 for the 650W GQ and a score of 27/30 for the CXM unit. The EVGA GQ unit is objectively better, and is better rated. Whether it's by much or not is pretty irrelevant since they're the same price.

I said electrical performance, not overall. If we compare them based on electrical performance, I would rate them similarily (GQ has better voltage regulation but the CXM has much better ripple).

Yes, if you factor in build quality GQ is better. But I said electrical performance.
