iPad Pro vs Surface Pro

Ok so im looking to get something new for my work and for school. Im between a iPad Pro (10.5 in) and a Surface Pro. What should I get? Im looking for a iPad just because it will be easy to use and light, but im looking at a Surface for Windows. If I got a Surface I would want at least a i5 but thats really expensive. Thoughts?

 

If I had the money I would get a Razer Blade but im to poor

ipad pro performance is on par with surface.Just dosen't have acces to full desktops programs.For just notetaking and the basic stuff I would IPAD unles your doing something really specific.The best of both worlds would be a convertible chromebook

Depends on the software being use

If it runs on both windows and iOS then iPad pro 

If not then Surface

I had an iPad Air Pro during school. With a good keyboard case, it was fantastic for taking notes and using the Office Suite. As @Himommies said, unless you have a specific reason to get a Windows machine, the iPad will do just fine.

If you use any Windows programs for school, or do art at any capacity higher than an occasional hobby, get the Surface Pro.

For school stuff, I'd go with the Surface Pro even if Windows 10 is not a good tablet OS in my opinion. Windows 10 can run both UWP apps and x86/64 apps outside of the store. With the iPad, you can only run apps from the App Store. For the record, even Office 365 on the PC or Mac still has way more features and functionality than the app versions for iOS and Android. 

 

But you'll probably spend less on an iPad than with a Surface. You maybe able to do more with the Surface but you have to spend more.
