Getting ads on homescreen after installing VR

Hey, 

 

So my gf  installed the oculus apps for the gear VR.  Even since they got installed ads have been popping  up on homescreen, menu and other apps. I have uninstalled the oculus app from the phone but it is still happening.

 

Is there anything that can be done to stop them?

Run various virus scans, I recommend Malwarebytes

CPU: Intel Core I7 7700K & Corsair H100i v2

Go through Applications and look for ones with strange or no name

Already went through all the applications and all the I stalled apps have normal names.
