Dear All,

I'm planning a pc build and need some thoughts on the build! So here are some of my questions:

1. Is 32gb of RAM needed or is 16gb good for the future...

2. Is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition a good GPU?

3. Is the A240G a good investment for the future if I plan to change my PC build?

List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8TtYKZ

Thanks for all who replies!!

@Timos
1. 16GB of RAM, even for very intensive multitasking, is usually more than enough.

2. Yes, it is, but certain aftermarket cards are usually cheaper and offer better cooling than the reference card.

3. I don't have any experience in liquid cooling, so I can't say.

My Daily Driver:

Acer Predator Helios 300
»« Intel Core i5-8300H »« 16GB DDR4 RAM »« NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB »« Silicon Power A60 512 GB M.2 SSD »«
Toshiba PC L200 1 TB HDD »« Microsoft Windows 10 Home »«

1. 32GB is fine for a system of that calibre.

2. I would probably go with a Ryzen 7 instead of the 7700K.

3. The 1080 Ti is fine if going to water cool it. Maybe get the MSI or EVGA versions of it instead for air cooling?

4. You don't need to spend 250$ on a motherboard, c'mon.

5. You might want more storage?

Can you suggest a motherboard with a built-in WIFI card then?? Thanks

Such a powerful system is going to be using wifi..? Damn. Just get any motherboard and buy a separate pci express wifi card. I was plenty happy with my Intel AC 7260 back when I was forced to use wifi.

It might be easier to get one without and a separate wifi adapter.

dont get a USB wifi adapter tho, and at least on the AM4 side, there's some pretty nice offerings with built in wifi.

Just make sure that you don't buy the founders edition GTX 1080 Ti unless you want to watercool it. Personally I would go with 16GB because upgrading RAM isn't a big problem as long as you have slot available on your motherboard.
