Both will perform the same... if temps or noise aren't a concern, grab the cheapest one (which I assume is the STRIX).

Hello

I am planning to build a pc soon but can somebody tell me which card performs better: the EVGA 1080ti hybrid or the Asus strix 1080ti oc. I have the cash for either one, just need to know which to pick.

Thank You

ASUS Strix 1080 Ti Poseidon.

You essentially balance budget + aesthetics + noise + thermal performance. Performance varies as much as the mean max frequency difference between any chip, so it's not really a concern. Also, besides founders, none of them will really thermal throttle unless you go for something like an Asus Dual, which, albeit has a decent PCB, also has a crappy cooler. So go with whatever suits your budget really. And maybe warranty. EVGA Maybe? Depends on you.

I would prefer the one which stays the coolest in temps as I will be overclocking.

That would be the EVGA Hybrid. But keep in mind that the only real benefit is temps... not necessarily higher overclocks. I imagine that it would also be louder.

Still, the STRIX has a great cooler so if it's significantly cheaper, I would grab that instead.

We don't have EVGA here, but I'll recommend Asus Strix GTX 1080 ti only if you have ROG board for that RGB sync because its slightly more expensive than others.

Zotac GTX 1080 ti AMP! Extreme is a beast if you don't mind the gigantic size

I do have an Asus board but I would prefer performance over rgb sync because I saw that the zotac card also has rgb so you can change it in the software

Well either one is good anyway.... but because you have ROG board I'll get the Asus Strix GTX 1080 ti so that feature isn't going to be wasted. For performance I think Zotac might have extra room for OC with that gigantic cooler
