So, a fellow gamer and PC enthusiast here.  I've been trying to decide what to get next for my PC, but I'm not totally sure what fits my "case" (nice puns right?). I'm torn between the new Ryzen lineup or Intel's i7 7700k and mobo + RAM. I hate to say it, but I'm your typical gamer and I'm trying to future proof my whole build here. So, should I get the new CPU, mobo, and RAM? Or should I get an SSD and wait?

PC Specs:

CPU: AMD FX-8100

GPU: Gigabyte Rx 480

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2

Storage: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB

PSU: EVGA 600w Bronze

RAM: DDR3 1300MHz

OS: Windows 10

Here's a benchmark from UserBenchmark:

UserBenchmarks: Game 40%, Desk 33%, Work 27%
CPU: AMD FX-8100 Eight-Core - 37.9%
GPU: AMD RX 480 - 62.7%
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB - 70.8%
RAM: Unknown 2x4GB - 38.7%
MBD: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2

Thanks,

A Sad Gamer :(

If you can afford the cpu, mobo and ram you should get them first before the SSD. AMD promised to use the AM4 socket for years onwards, whereas Intel seemed to be thinking about moving to the next socket.
