I agree, tested Witcher 3, Superposition and Firestrike Ultimate so far.

Overwatch will be tested tomorrow as I went to work. That game hates VRAM OC, I had the most absurd glitches in that game with 1060 (Samsung VRAM) while other games worked just fine.

Wasn't there a big issue with Samsung GDDR5 with the 970 [or 980]? Something about them overclocking poorly making everyone seek out SK Hynix or Micron chips.

It is +800MHz offset on VRAM so the card is now running at 12.6GHz effective.

 

Core is only +50MHz offset. Card is maxing out only at 2038MHz, any higher and it becomes unstable even with maxed voltage. Not very lucky with GPU OC.

Don't know about that, I only remember 1070s issues when manufactures started using Micron instead of Samsung.

It's Pascal so everything OCes about the same and if it does OC it doesn't really matter.

Sure, I can make a video. I just will use my phone camera most of the time since I don't own a capture card and I don't want to affect the results with using x264 or NVENC.

I just got the card yesterday so I am still playing around with it.

So it looks like that some games don't care and just work on up to +850MHz VRAM offset. In other games, I will just get freezes unless I use +700MHz. So I settled for +700MHz as after playing games for few days I had no problems in any of them with these clocks.

Still haven't done my benchmarks though, just tested stability.
