980 ti is running below expected?

Hello, well today I tried a benchbark and it said my 980 ti was under expectations. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to make it run better or find out the issue that's making it go under expectations.

Hhhmm. That doesn't sound good. I'm getting one soon, so I hope it performs well.

This^^^ Most peeps with a 980 Ti will have OC'ed it, so this may be why yours isn't scoring as high.

Hhhmmm. Well, if you're near Nashville TN, and don't sell it for a few months, I could buy it to SLI with my one I'm getting next week*.

Your GTX 980 Ti is fine.

 

Looking at the average score for all GTX 980 Ti's, the DX9 scores average 317fps and the DX10 scores average 231 fps, which is mere 2% and 1% higher than yours. Totally within margin of error, and a difference that can be absorbed with very minor overclocking. We can see in your screenshot you've got a Core clock of 1531MHz and a Memory Clock  of 1752MHz. Compared to folks who are up in the 90th percentile and higher, they're running 1600-1700MHz core and 2000+MHz memory.

 

These are synthetic benchmarks anyway, which don't necessarily predict real world gaming results.

Most people who use that are overclocking and using it to compare to what others get, it's still a pretty crap site, but your card is performing just like it should, if you want a little more performance and/or a higher mark then OC it and test again

Cool beans. I'll see once I get the other parts for my build (not all of them, just a new mobo, Ryzen CPU, RAM, PSU) if my parents are going to think I'm crazy and going to go bankrupt, or if they'll let me get it. All I really want is a good fps in the new Battlefront 2 when it comes out. If you do decide to sell it, you can post it in the classifieds on here. And make sure and PM me.
