LGA 1151 Board with ECC Support?

I'm helping one of my friends build a NAS, and we are going to use the Pentium G4400, becasue it supports ECC memory. I am having trouble finding a motherboard that also supports it. What board would you guys recommend?

You might need to look at one of the server chipset ones. Alternatively look up HP Enterprise servers. They do some really low cost ones that might be used as a basis. For example I got the one below for my storage needs:

Productivity system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, 64GB ram (mixed), RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, random 1080p + 720p displays.

You have options like the Gigabyte GA-X150-PLUS WS, ASRock E3V5 WS and MSI - C236M WS.

The chipset is going to be either C232 or C236 and from what I can find, they only support unbuffered ECC, so registered DIMMs may not work.

What's the difference between buffered and unbuffered?

Registered (buffered) memory has a register between the modules and the memory controller. it places less load on the memory controller, which helps stability in systems with a lot of RAM modules. It's mostly something useful for larger servers.
