$900 Gaming PC

monjanger

I have a friend getting into PCs, and he wants to build one. He will be primarily gaming, but I assume he will do other tasks as well. He does not need peripherals, and he did not indicate a color scheme, I'm guessing whatever is good. He doesn't need windows. I tried to make the build relatively future proof, with a pretty beefed up PSU, as if he sticks with PCs he'll probably be building of off this. one Here's what I have so far, but please critique.

Get a 1600, use the stock cooler because it looks awesome and it can easily over clock to 1600x performance. Get an atx motherboard because micro atx will look weird in an atx case. An ssd is a necessity and get a better power supply like the EVGA g2.

I have micro atx motherboard (GA-A75M-UD2H) in Chieftec BX-02-B-B. Motherboard is pile of shit compared to case.

I made changes, added SSD, went with 1600, 16GB @ 3000, and changed 1060 to Asus from MSI. I then changed motherboard from micro to atx form factor. Also changed case color, its neutral and almost all black now. $50 more, still taking feedback.

Looks good to me. It'd be easier to paste in the text format vs the link.
