eBay and craigslist, the pricing should be fine.

Hi

I'm not sure if this belongs in this forum (sorry)

I want to upgrade to Ryzen. My PC is currently not working (you can look at my previous troubleshooting posts for more details). I went to Micro Center and they said it was my power supply, so I got a new psu and guess what... it still doesn't work. I even used a paper clip to test the PSU and it definitely works without the rest of my pc. I am positive that it is the motherboard (but I am not 100% sure because I don't have another motherboard to test). Should I sell my two Intel G3258 Pentiums (both 1 year old) for $60 each and my 8gb ram for $25? Should I not upgrade to Ryzen and risk buying a new motherboard (even though there is a chance it might not work)? This is what I'm thinking about (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130731&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink2-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=8167372&SID=j2o5xpgx8u000a1700053). Right now, I have about $140 dollars, but that is not enough to upgrade, so that is why I want to sell my parts.

I'm sorry if this is a really messy and scattered post. I'm just kind if

Did they not test the CPU and Motherboard?

Have you tried any of the usual trouble shooting methods?

does anyone know any place where I can test my parts by any chance, or at least somewhere where they actually do a good job at troubleshooting?

1. Try booting your PC without the GPU.

2. Try only 1 stick of memory in either slot.

3. Swap the CPU out for your 2nd one.
