I just now finished my running my parts list through www.pcpartpicker.com and this warning displayed as a result:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/sFDcLD

Warning: These parts have potential issues/incompatibilities.

  • Some Intel X99 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Broadwell-E CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

Using Broadwell-E CPUs? Is that referring to the Intel Core i7-6850K 3.6 GHz Six-Core LGA 2011-v Processor?

Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. Now that would suck!

Do I have something to worry about here?

Unless it's a very early manufactured motherboard the BIOS will already be updated, though there's no way to check that, unless you ask the store do they know if it has updated bios or not.

Im not watching a 40+ minute video to see what he says about ryzen v intel, but i still stand that an 1800x + 370 board would be better performance, and for less money.

The Intel vs Ryzen is something that I am looking into right now. Just when I thought I was catching up on things, BOOM! Something comes up that puts me behind the pack. That's the Intel vs Ryzen competition. I don't even know what Ryzen is. Gotta start catching up again.

What are you going to be using the pc for ?

Also Ryzen has been out a few months, so have you been hiding under a rock ? :D Anyways they have another new cpu coming out called Thread Ripper and Intel will also be releasing the X299 chipset along with new cpu's. There are all enthusiast cpu's (Apart from Kaby Lake-X).
