Win 10 saving

Why the f do programs keep saving to my ssd and not hdd. I also tried uninstalling them and reinstalling them, same thing happens

When you are "reinstalling" programs, are you directing them to save to your "x:" drive instead of your C:\ drive?

I can try that, or maybe in the bios

Pretty much don't just spam click "next" while installing. Eventually, (normally) any installer will eventually have a part where you can "browse" and direct the program to save elsewhere.

Though to add, some programs (Like Chrome or Electron based apps) will install to the user's %APPDATA% folder instead with no option to install them elsewhere.

 

A tale-tale sign of this is they don't invoke UAC. They usually need elevation simply because Program Files is a protected folder.

Yep, but luckily Chrome doesn't need as much storage space as let's say the Fallout 4 "hi-res textures".

Are your libraries directed to your HDD instead of your HDD in Windows?

They were directed to C/ drive but I quit spamming 'next' on everything and directed them to D/ instead
