Ultimate Gaming Build Planning.

So I need some expert help on how to build the ultimate gaming PC. However what I mean by the ultimate gaming PC isn't what has the biggest price tag but more so what is actually necessary for a gaming PC. Here is my current part breakdown that hopefully you guys can help me with. I don't have any price limitations.

Case: I already have a Silent Base 800 from my current build that I will be using.

PSU: I will also be using a Corsair 850 watt PSU from an old build.

CPU: I need some help here and would like to see what you guys recommend. I'm under the assumption that a 7600k is all you need for gaming.

Mobo: I don't have any in mind. Please send me any recommendations!

Ram: I'll be using some generic 16gb ram from my current build.

GPU: I'm hellbent on acquiring a 1080ti

Keyboard+Mouse: Already have them from my current build.

Monitor: I have no idea on what monitor I should pair with a 1080ti. Please send some recommendations !

HDD/SSD: Already have some from previous build.

So in the end I just really need some advice on what CPU, Motherboard, and Monitor to get. Any and all recommendations are extremely appreciated guys! Thank you all for your help!

1080ti, please wait for v e g a and/or volta.

7700k for 1080ti.

monitor should either be IPS 4k or 144hz 1440p.

i would like to think any z270 motherboard would work decently well for overclocking

cooler: maybe a noctua dh-15?

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Is ryzen really that good? I've always been a Intel guy so I know very little about AMD and their current line of processors.

AMD is currently doing really well with the ryzen lineup.

from the words ultimate,  i would like to think he wants the most FPS at that price point and he doesn't do video editing/streaming/582 chrome tabs

ryzen is better at multi threaded but shittier at single threaded, right now intel is better than ryzen at single threaded in most games, but with higher clockspeed ram the gap closes to only 1-2% (going from 2133 to ~3200mhz ram though)

so basically 6 cores at 4ghz effective but closer to 3.9ghz on intels side because IPC or 4 cores at 4.7ghz

This is exactly right. I'm simply just looking for a gaming PC and a gaming PC only. I don't need to be rendering videos or anything crazy. This is going to be a Gaming and Netflix machine.
