1 HDD, 2 Computers?

I was wondering if there was a way to use one internal hard drive with two different computers. Like, if there was a sata data splitter where one drive would go to two different motherboards, or if there is any other way.

Not sure about that (never seen anything) but you could always use a NAS drive

What I have heard however is doing something called PXE booting. Although I have never done it myself, it would allow you to boot both computers over a network connection. Although you would need another computer to host the PXE software. I'm pretty sure this is not what you are looking for.

Not possible. The closest thing you could do is have the drive in one PC, then connect to it over the network with the other.

Physically no, it's not possible. vmdk sharing is possible in a virtualisation setup (used for clustering) but that wont be what you need. 

 

PXE boot is a complicated setup, and as indicated you would need another computer. If you need to boot multiple machines, get another drive. 

 

If it's for sharing data, network the 2 computers and create a network share. 

 

Knowing what you're trying to achieve would make it easier to give more specific advice
