Plz HALP

Go to solution Solved by NumLock21,

Your GTX1060 is DOA, go back to where you got it from and ask for a exchange.

Are you sure the monitor is on?

Did you connect the HDMI, DP, or DVI into the GPU?

Edit: What PSU do you have? Is it modular?

PSU: Cooler Master B600 v2 (not modular)

Monitor is connected through DVI-D cable, it works fine with the GTX 750

Does the monitor show "no signal"?

Can you boot into the BIOS with the old GPU installed, and switch to IGPU as primary output, boot into windows and check if the card is recognised ?

it shows "no signal"
I'm trying to install the newest drivers, and check if that works.. if not.. I'll try what you said, and get back to ya

PC won't even start with the GTX 1060, PSU is working fine, it's a brand new one, the power LED on the GPU is lighting up (white) telling me that there's power for it

Have you switched to IGPU? Or plugin another GPU in the top most slot and the 1060 in another slot?

I only have one 16x slot on the MOBO (ASUS H81-Gamer)

I did switch to IGPU, turned off the PC, installed the GTX 1060, tried to turn it on, won't start
And I've been wondering, could the PSU (Cooler Master B600 v2) be good enough for the GPU?

easily! With 600W you could run a 7700K and a 1080.

How about only IGPU?

Works okey with only IGPU

I'm starting to think that the GPU is dead, even though it's LED decoration lights are lighting up, before the whole PC shuts down

Try this: go only IGPU, shut down, insert the GPU and go straight to the BIOS (while still running only IGPU) this should (tm) work, even if the card is dead

I tried that, won't work, shuts down after 2 seconds.. starts up again, and just stays with a black screen (won't even show the startup screen, so I cannot enter the BIOS)
