Need some case fan recommendations

cheap and led dont go well together. I'd get something like Be quiet silent wings. Maybe you can find some led strip somewhere for your case?

im considering getting the corsair af 120 fans that come in 2 packs with the white led. But sadly they dont come with 140 2 pack versions

If you want some cheap led fans why not try these: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA3SD3568830&cm_re=bitfenix_spectre_120mm_white-_-9SIA3SD3568830-_-Product ?

They are not as quiet as be quiet silent wings but they are much cheaper and got leds :D I had them in my old PC and didn't have any problem with them except that one of the leds died after a year ^^

I have been running one AF140 red led for 2 years now and it still works, but it doesnt have any sort of virbation mount like the be quiet or noctua ones so you can definitely hear quite a bit if you run it with over 800rpm

what about the corsair ones with the rings, they are slightly more expensive but people say they are good.

you mean the ML140? They are pretty expernsive, but they look like they are good. Is noise an issue for you or do you always have closed headphones on?

I mean my dad's computer is well over 40db constantly and its pretty annoying, so i would prefer some silent fans.

can you control the fans via software/Bios? or do you plug them into the PSU?

i don't really check around my dads computer but im pretty sure he can control them through some kind of software. He has his i7 2600k clocked to like 4.7ghz so his fans are always at 90-100%

why dont oyu try turning the current ones down first. Some motherboard have fan curves and some allow you to choose at least between Silent/Normal/fullspeed[performance]
