I request POVRay benchmarks for threadripper, please!

Greetings, my fellows!

 

I've registered for this, just a minute ago.

 

It hit me literally three minutes ago.

 

See, there is this community of people who love to render things on http://www.povray.org and one of the latest features added to it was multicore support!

 

POVRay is *old*. I'm not exaggerating the slightest, when I say it's digital stone age!

it's predecessor, DKBTrace, being from 1986!

In 1991 POVRay grew out of it!

 

It might be the case that some of you weren't even born back then.

(damn, it's one of those "wow, i'm old" moments)

 

Anyhow, if you could do that for us, it'd honestly be appreciated! There's tons of scripts out there,

showing great images once rendered, so it's really not hard getting into it! POVRay is script based! 

It's really simple!

 

If you could torture threadripper CPUs using POVRay ... that'd be awesome!

 

I apologize if this is the wrong forum section to post in,

but it's simply a fact that if i don't do this right now then i never will.

Yeah, I'm waiting to see how Threadripper does before building a new system to run PovRay. I'm considering Epyc, but its cores are so slow that I'm not sure it will be worth it.

I request benchmarks for ryzen v2 but it ain't going to happen cos nobody has it.
