My brother just got AMD A10 7850k  and A88X-Pro motherboard.

While I was installing his motherboard I figured out that he has no 8 pin CPU Power Connector, only 1x4 PIn,

I searched online people were saying it can be used 4 pin connector on 8 pin power connector but I don't want to risk frying something.

Only solution I suppose is getting new power supply.

Any suggestions on which one should I get that's not ultra expensive but quality so it doesn't fry my board.

Thanks

These are Modular power suplies above 80$

One of those is semi-modular (the CXM) and none are very expensive, let alone anywhere close to $80 USD.

You can use just the 4-pin BTW. The extra +4 pins are for redundancy which don't matter to you

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Will those 4 pins deliver enough power for the CPU to work properly even at higher voltage?

Yes. That's why H81 motherboards that support the 4790K and its turbo speeds work just fine with just four pins.
