Should I buy gtx 770 or 1050 Ti

Hello guys,

I can't decide if it's worth it to buy gigabyte 770 with replaced thermal paste - 10°C for $110 or 1050 Ti $180? I have a 650w psu so power is not a problem.

On paper, the 770 is better but the reality is that it performs terribly in newest games, 1050ti will be a lot better option.

$180 is quite a lot for 1050ti though.

Well, a 1050 Ti should be no where near $180... Are you using USD?

Also it is usually not recommended to buy a GPU more than 1 generation old

Most 1050s will only be 120-150 usd and it's a better opinion in application

Try using the PSU Tier List!

770 is dead in the water. 2GB VRAM and Kepler "legacy" architecture, I've a 2GB 760 and it is huffing and puffing at every title

Yeah the 1050ti is in USD, that's why I ask if it's even worth it

1050 Ti should be in the $120-$140 range.

$180 is in the 1060 range

Better off getting a used GTX 970 in that case. Just an example.

If you are talking US pricing then the 1050Ti is a waste of money. And yes, the 1060 3 Gb is around $180 not the 1050Ti.

theres a lot of hype that overprices hardware in some areas of the world.

Check your power budget and go with the cheapest. I can tell you from experience that even i have issues making full use of the nvidia pascal platform for gaming. Its great for other things but not gaming and its not my CPU either as i've overclocked and checked my CPU and ram for bottlenecks.

Later on when prices go down and better drivers come out would the pascal be good for gaming.
