Multiple SSD's per SATA Cable?

Jboord44

So just a general question I've been curious about: sata cables that come with a psu typically have multiple connections along the cable.

Does this mean you can plug in multiple devices per sata cable? Or does each sata device require its own sata cable running from the psu to the device?

sorry for the easy question

They have multiple connectors for a reason, the way drive bays are designed so you can plug all of them in at once.

So you CAN plug in multiple SSD's for example into one sata cable?

So if I have 2 SSD's I can use one sata cable? I don't need 2 separate cables coming from the psu?

If you had a cable that had four or five power connectors then you could connect four or five drives.

I think I see why you think you need to run two cables, but you can do it all on one.

Yes, you can use all the cables along that run.
