What memory to buy

Not sure if it goes in this sub-catagory or not just saying sorry ahead of time.

I am looking for ram memory for a Strix z270e motherboard with a intel 7700k processor.

I've been looking for 16 gig modules and looking to purchase about 32 so i have expandablity to 64 for the future.

One thing I have not understand is the dual and quad channel different modules what the difference.

32gb is still overkill  for what your doing  the 3d modeling is the only piece that may use that much.  your better  of going with  16gb then saving your money up to switch to a cpu with more cores.

i7 7700k does not support quad channel memory, only single channel and dual channel
