HELP? GPU ISSUE

I just got home with my new Asus RX 580 Strix OC version and ive hooked it up and its posting video but its extremely slow and when I look in device manager it says that video output if coming from Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and when I load a game or anything the frame rates are worse than before my (GT 610) how do I fix this????????

Installing Drivers, I flashed the bios but nothing changed

Output from on-board output + you actually see something = you didn't plug the monitor to the card

not pcie power connector, but the actual hdmi / dvi / whatever cable?

 

did you uninstall nvidia drivers before getting this card in?

DDU is a display driver software uninstaller. If it's using the microsoft display driver, nvidia drivers aren't picking up the card, so you should use DDU to wipe the drivers and reinstall.

It sounds like you are using the integrated GPU, are you sure you have your display cable plugged into the GPU? And do you have the PSU connectors plugged into the GPU correctly? 

 

First step though - make sure you install the correct drivers. Type in the model of your card and download the drivers from the manufacturers website.
