I've played (read?) Nekopara and World End Economica and can recommend those if you're into visual novels. I haven't tried any of the others, but most of the ratings are Overwhelmingly Positive or Very Positive according to Steam.

I'm usually fine attempting to speak Japanese but I'm going to kill someone if I have to just think of "chiru chiru machiru" again.

Got Nekopara separately but debating it for everything else. Nekopara is purely linear, there is a single story path and that's it. I don't know about others, but believe at least some have decision points leading to multiple endings.

 

Tip if you get Nekopara, do vol 1 before vol 0. Vol 1 is the start, and vol 0 is a short story released after, and wont make as much sense out of order. Steam versions are the censored versions, but I wouldn't rate it lower than PG, maybe even higher. Now Azuki, where were we...
