Hi all,

Question . I got my i5 4690K running @4.2 Ghz for already over a year with no problems. I always monitor with hwmonitor.

Min. Core speed on al 4 cores has always been 800mhz but yesterday all of a sudden I had 2 cores with a minimum of 100 and 50 mhz. Never seen this before and the max temp had been 50℃ so it wasn't throttling .

Any ideas what this can be ?

No Idle. Under load 4200 like always. I don't experience any drop in performance but I always been 800mhz when idle.

It could be turning down frequency during idle to save power

Weird thing is it never went so low before. Always went down to 800mhz for more then a year and now all of a sudden to 50mhz and 100mhz while the other 2 cores were 800mhz. Didn't made any changes in bios or what so ever.

It's probably just cores parking themselves.

As long as they are not at that speed under load it is 100% fine.

Btw there is a quote button here that you need to use when replying to someone...
