Computer Screen Freeze while playing youtube

Hi, guys..

My PC was freezing while my sister was playing youtube on background + move her photos, she rebooted it with reset button and i checked nothing special on Event Viewer, nor BSOD appeared..

My thoughts
1. I just moved my pc into hotter place, and got throttled easily with my previous underclock setting, but it won't rise as hot as 70'C+ , last night i played OW + record using shadow play and can't get any higher than 70'C..
2. I use HDMI to VGA adapter due to incompatibility with my monitor, perhaps it got so much heat?
3. Any idea? Error on Adobe Flash? Hardware Acceleration etc?

If you have same problem, or have idea to prevent further problem, please help me:v thanks

YouTube doesn't use Flash anymore, to my knowledge.

Both my monitors are on HDMI to VGA adapters, so it's not that (or at least it shouldn't be).

Update the GPU drivers (get the newest drivers off of nvidia's site, run DDU to clear the old ones, then install the fresh drivers).

it could also have frozen because of the HDD(s) or RAM. Or just a random freeze due to outdated drivers (in general, not necessarily something specific)

Unpopular opinion

Believe it or not, playing youtube video are so much heavier on CPU than playing video games

The reason is not the youtube it self, sure it doens't use flash anymore, but not the side add-on, ads, pop ups, chat, script, etc

Reseat, and reapply thermal paste might help, if it's not then add extra fans.

I kinda feel sketchy about new gpu driver, i just downgraded after found my fans acting weird more often on newest driver than zotac gives.. or it just what i believed..

run a S.M.A.R.T. diagnostic on the drive and see if it points out any faults, then run a defrag/chkdsk. Might just be a hiccup in the paging on the drive or a bad sector.

Could be nothing or could be the beginning of the end for that drive (which can take years. I still have 120 gig drives that have degraded to the point that they're essentially 80 gig drives now and still going strong on 24/7 operation)
