What should Power Wattage should I use?

NewbiePCbuilder

Hi I'am new to pc building. And my parts are:
Gigabyte f2a68-ds2 MoBo
A10 7870K
2 4gb ddr3 Hyper x
Wd 1tb hdd
18.5 asus monitor
Normal mouse and keyboard

I dont have graphics card
The problem is I dont know what power supply should I use, they say 500w is an overkill to this build. The pc shop were I went wants me to go for a 230w bysuo (a chinese brand) power supply and I dont want to because that power supply looks pretty lame even though they say its "true rated" other shops only have 450-500w they dont have a 230w psu. What should I do? Is there any other options? PS. I dont really want to add a graphics card because thats what they said that if I want to go for a 500w I should have a graphicd card hope you guys can help me out :)

Well the wattage is not your primary concern but the quality of the unit should be. A Corsair CX450M would be a good choice for your build.

|PSU Tier List /80 Plus Efficiency| PSU stuff if you need it.

You dont need the wattage, but it wont hurt to have it and its better to have one from a good brand than a lame chinese one. a 450/500 watt will also allow you to upgrade in the future. Get the seasonic s12II(not modular) or m12II(fully modular)

It would be better to have a quality supply, but you won't need anything over 500W. 450W/500W will work fine - keep in mind breathing room is always nice
