programming on an ipad

Go to solution Solved by The Sloth,

Ipad is not exactly a developer friendly platform, it's more of a big i phone.

far as i know you can use these, if you want a coding tablet look at the surface lineup or the google pixel.

- Buffer Editor
- Coda
- Pythonista
- Textastic Code Editor 6

edit- it won't be a fun experience

Not as far as I am aware. Apple at any rate do not provide any programming tools on the iPad. Sorry!

I guess it's technically possible, but I would NOT recommend it.

a real computer is basically required for programming in anything higher-level then scratch.

i know that there is nothing offered by apple but isn't there a 3rd party app for doing this?

Going on responses above it looks like there are! Would love to know what they are called - as this would be ideal for me!

It is possible, I'd recommend Coda for ios, it is amazing !

You can preview your site on the integrated web browser or in safari with split screen. You can also connect to various servers and it has an integrated terminal.

It doesn't have any web inspector though

Just keep in mind that it will never be as comfortable and powerful as on a mac or pc, but it still is great for minor change when on the go or even from your couch

PS : if you're using git, I recommend Working copy

Gaming rig : i5 6600k | EVGA 1070 FTW | 16Go DDR4 HyperX Fury | Intel 600p - WD Black

Laptop : Macbook 2017

Home server : AMD A10 7700k | 2*2TB unraid array + 250GB ssd cache
